2020:  Celebrating 25 Years of Music Instruction

ABOUT VOICE LESSONS

While I have chosen opera and classical music as my primary performance vehicle, I can help you improve your singing in those and many other musical genres including pop, contemporary worship music or musical theater.  I teach a range of students successfully- from outright beginners to emerging professionals.

If you...

want to learn the foundations of singing

find that you strain your voice when you sing

need to learn how to sing in a more healthy way

want to improve your confidence

If you...

want to advance your vocal technique so that you can express yourself the way you would like artistically

are looking to audition for musical opportunities, such as choral ensembles or theater

are auditioning to enter a college music program

If you...

are a worship leader at your church

want to learn how to sing more freely for a longer period of time without straining

need a coach in the mental aspects of performance technique

If you...

are auditioning for an opera company

are auditioning for a role in musical theatre

require diction coaching in Italian, German, French and Spanish language

need coaching for a classical art song recital

are looking for advice on how to build a successful classical art song recital

would like dramatic and interpretive coaching

I can help!

I emphasize healthy vocal production, ease and freedom in singing.  Armed with a Master's degree in Vocal Performance, extensive performance experience and post-graduate study with two master teachers in New York, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my voice students.

Voice lessons are typically 60 minutes long, once per week.  The first portion of the lesson is dedicated to vocal exercises and technique.  The second half is dedicated to your vocal literature.  I teach at my home studio in Sarasota, Florida, but also am happy to teach online via Skype or Zoom.

If you want precise, technical instruction delivered with care and compassion, reach out today.  Schedule your first lesson and we'll see if we are a good match.  I'd love to  help you accomplish your musical goals.

You can schedule a Zoom video conference with Martha by clicking here.

I am happy to meet prospective students over Zoom to answer any questions you may have.
