About Martha

Martha Ana Lopez is a lyric coloratura soprano, pianist, educator, and voice talent based in Sarasota, Florida. A passionate advocate for art song, she has performed in recital throughout the United States and has released four recordings.  Her performance credits include Opera Tampa, Saint Petersburg Opera, New Century Opera, the North Port Symphony, and the Pops Orchestra of Sarasota.

A dedicated teacher for nearly three decades, Martha served on the Voice Faculty at the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota and maintains a thriving private voice and piano studio. She is also Director of Music at the Church of the Nativity – Episcopal in Sarasota, where she serves as organist, pianist, and choir director.

Beyond music, Martha is an avid tennis player and a Certified Tennis Coach through the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR). She coaches with the Buddy Up Tennis program, which serves athletes with Down syndrome through tennis, fitness, and friendship—an experience she considers one of the most rewarding parts of her life.

Whether performing, teaching, or serving her community, Martha is committed to helping others experience connection, growth, and joy through the arts.
